The violence was in response to efforts, by Civil Rights Organizations, to desegregate schools & public buildings in the South. The action backfired, as the senseless murder of these four little girls brought national attention to the plight of Black People in the South; and would directly lead to the undoing of the very Separate-But-Equal Laws that The Klan was seeking to protect.
We honor the Memory of Cynthia Wesley, Addie Mae Collins, Carole Robertson and Denise McNair. May we NEVER Forget; but instead teach all FUTURE Generations of Our Struggle-so that they may push on to achieve further success in the fight for Human Rights.
Salute.
