Motion Picture Director Michael Schultz is truly a pioneering figure for Filmmakers of Color. Movie & Television Director credits go back to 1972, and include at least 86 titles. The most notable titles would include Cooley High 1975, Car Wash 1976, Which Way is Up 1977, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1978, The Last Dragon 1985, Krush Groove 1985, and Woman Thou Art Loosed 2004. Opening doors for countless other Filmmakers, Behind the Scenes Workers, Actors & Actresses of Color, Schultz is also known for repeatedly working with certain talent on numerous projects. Schultz worked with Richard Pryor on four classics (Car Wash, Greased Lightning, Which Way is Up & Bustin' Loose) & multiple titles with the likes of Glynn Turman, Garrett Morris & Loretta Devine. In more recent years, the bulk of his work has came directing episodes of numerous popular television shows such as Gilmore Girls (WB), The O.C.
