For those that don't remember, 12 Year Old Tamir Rice was murdered by two Cleveland Police Overseers (Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback) while playing alone with a toy pellet gun in a local park. responding to a 911 call, one of the officers fired on young Tamir within TWO SECONDS of parking the patrol car. No warnings, no call for backup, no aiming for an arm or leg-just kill shots. According to reports, Loehmann and Garmback stood over Rice's body for at least four minutes without even attempting to administer any type of aid. Only after an FBI Agent showed up, was there any attempt made to save Tamir's life. The officers reported out the same "I Feared For My Life" excuses, and the city spent the next 13 months trying to figure out how they would justify not charging the officers. In the end, the officers walked away free. In response to a lawsuit filed by Tamir Rice's mother Samaria Rice, Cleveland Officials blamed Tamir for his own death-stating that he failed "to exercise due care to avoid injury." And now in one final insult to his memory, they file papers in Probate Court demanding that the family pay for the failed emergency care. The true definition of foulness.
