Here are just a few from the past week…

Trump’s appointees to Department Of Agriculture, and The Department Of Health And Human Services, have once again struck a blow to science (and common sense for that matter). Among dietary guidelines, and nutritional recommendations, omitted from next year’s mandate are said to include any mention of the potential harm that can come from consuming high levels of processed foods, genetically engineered meat, and foods with high sodium content. Clearly this is a nod to the big corporations that profit off of your hard earned grocery dollars-knowing that the average person either doesn’t know just how bad these are for your body, and those too hooked on the chemicals in the food to care. They’ve been lying about the alleged benefits of consuming dairy, and using fluoride for 100 years-so why not add a couple of more lies to their business strategy? #WakeUp

For twenty years now, the 16.7 million acres of forest land known as Tongass National Forest have been off limits to logging. But as of last Friday, it’s once again open season for any logging, energy, or mining company that seeks to exploit its resources & beauty. As it stands, Tongass is an Alaskan rainforest full of beautiful trees, a river full of salmon, beautiful wildlife, and more. But unless there’s a proper court challenge, you can kiss that goodbye.

In yet another move to attack any rule set in place during The Obama Administration, The Trump Regime issued a rollback on regulations that required stricter controls aimed at protecting against the leaking of emissions into the environment. The rules governed over how oil companies store, and how aggressively they monitor, their fuels to prevent leaks into the atmosphere. Even some of the biggest oil companies are even warning that this will further accelerate global warming & have a deadly impact on an already weakened environment. Don’t give them too much credit though. They just moved on from methane long ago, while the smaller companies that have not will now stand to increase profits and become more completive as a result of this rule change. I guess they figure on living on Mars or something…
