Wax Lyrical is defined by TTEOAN as: music created in an unreserved and highly prolific way that is pressed on vinyl, or that uses a vinyl aesthetic. For a more elaborate description of the term Wax Lyrical, check out prior posts: Vol. I, Vol. I.a, Vol. II & the Special Edition.
This week’s post goes back to the left coast with Mr. Sith on the mic for a couple joints from the vaults. The first track is called Jackin 4 Beats Babu, features known producer Babu’s track with Sith flowing over it. Nice joint! It has a similar feel of Analog Kings…real life stuff, substance, good metaphors and punchlines, jokes, and stuff you can relate to. It’s another vault classic that upholds the essence of emceeing.
The second cut- Analog Kings has Sith ripping over an A-Seven joint. It basically runs down how the Southern Cali Emcee gets down on a daily….a day in the life of Sith on the mic if you will…It also features some background vocals from Honey-a left coast female vocalist. She is also featured on another vault song. Neither song is rap, I want to be clear on that. Try to listen with an ear that leans more towards what Hip Hop music should be, and used to be, not what it currently is…
